

THE STORY OF THE PLAY
Based on the true story of a cave explorer in 1925 Kentucky, this musical follows Floyd Collins in his search for fame and fortune. When Floyd discovers Sand Cave, he sets out to turn it into a profitable tourist attraction. But when he becomes trapped 200 feet below ground, Floyd himself becomes the attraction as an unprecedented media circus develops around the efforts to rescue him. Floyd fights for his sanity and life, as reporters, his family, and people captivated by his story from around the country come to watch and worry about his fate.
